Batman goes on a Date
The Batman Date Scenario training scenario is a ME218 project aimed at teaching Batman how to go on a successful date with CatWoman. The game is meant to be played by two people simultaneously and is divided into three stages of dating that test batman AND catwoman in different ways.
LockOut:
When in lockout, all of the game LED's are turned off and the only way to proceed is to push the BATID button located on the side of the box. This causes the game to proceed into a Mask Waiting State
Mask Waiting State:
The Batman Goes on a Date Simulator uses character masks to detect user presence. This state looks for both users - catwoman and batman - to place their masks on before proceeding into the first stage of gameplay.
First Stage:
The first stage involves both players and requires the players to place their hands in a table-mounted puppet which detects whether a IR beam is blocked or not. The stage requires each participant to open and close their puppet for the seven second duration of the stage. Once seven seconds has expired, this stage assesses the "quality of conversation". This stage is good for both players if both players kept a similar pace with their puppets, and bad if their pace was uneven.
Second Stage:
The second stage is the wine pouring stage and is done by one person at a time starting with batman. The procedure starts off with the player picking up the wine bottle and tilting it above the wine glass. The LED's along the side of the glass will turn on until either a "fill state" or "spill state" is achieved. This translates to a good or bad outcome respectively. After batman finishes pouring, it is catwoman's turn and the procedure is the exact same.
Third Stage:
The third stage is called the proposal/decision stage and it presents choices to both catwoman and batman that are dependent upon their performance in the previous two stages. The better batman does in the previous stages, the better chance he has at having a successful proposal while the better catwoman does the higher chance she has to reject batman's proposals.
